New era of climate-related information disclosure: ISSB publishes two IFRS exposure drafts (ED) on sustainability reporting for public consultation

On 31 March 2022, the newly formed International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) published two draft IFRS sustainability standards (ISDS) for public consultation. Companies and stakeholders have so far found it difficult to deal with the multitude of sustainability standards, frameworks and metrics. International investors are increasingly demanding high-quality, transparent, reliable and comparable reports from companies on climate and other environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects.
